LUMI BEEKEEPING & HONEY PRODUCTION
Such extraordinary honey, made right here in the capital, all manner of complex flavours bursting forth.
You might be forgiven for thinking yourself in the middle of a meadow with its meadowy perfumes wafting on the breeze: Queen Anne’s lace, viper’s bugloss and clover. Beekeeper Angjelo Lumi comes by his trade honestly- his father in Albania, used to keep bees in a nearby forest.

In fact, Lumi is one of the few beekeepers who has learned to feed his bees honey during the cold weather instead of the usual sugar water. Meanwhile, the honey the bees produce can be described only as “food for the gods” . please feel free to eat by the spoonful. But in case more dazzle is needed, drizzle the golden mellifluence over ricotta and sprinkle with roasted slivered almonds. Yes! $5,99 / 330g.

Angjelo Lumi

I developed a passion for honeybees in my early teens, dedicating my time to assisting beekeepers and educating others about the industry’s challenges. After I completed university studies, I returned to beekeeping in 2011. Inspired by the hardworking nature of bees, I pursued a career as a Revenue & Market Manager in the hotel industry, infusing the same cozy atmosphere as a beehive - harmony and teamwork. I prioritize quality over quantity, offering 100% natural products like unpasteurized honey, beeswax, beeswax candles, propolis, small amounts of royal jelly, nucs and queens. My honey was featured in the Ottawa Eating and Drinking Magazine. In addition, I am registered with the Ontario Beekeeping Association for rescuing bee swarms, honeybee nests as well as other pollinators. Feel free to contact me for orders or inquiries. Free deliveries within the city for orders $60 and up. I look forward to serving you!
